1. Receptionist

Essential Functions

We are seeking a friendly, charismatic and highly-organized Receptionist to join our office crew. Daily responsibilities include answering phones, greeting customers, and assisting our sales team and construction crews with necessary clerical tasks (making copies, proofreading, data entry, emailing, scanning, collecting and distributing mail, filing, etc.). Duties also include keeping the office running by tracking inventory and ordering supplies, cleaning as needed and occasionally representing Spane Buildings at trade shows and community events.

This position is one of the most important roles in the company, so the perfect candidate will be motivated and dynamic. Experience with Excel, MS Outlook and MS Word is required. A general knowledge of the construction industry is preferable, but we are willing to train the right person.

Spane Buildings has been leading the post frame industry in Washington state for 74 years, and due to our great reputation, we are extremely busy. Additional responsibilities to be assigned as confidence in the position grows.

Our office is very laid back, flexible and like a little family. We are really looking for someone that fits right in and has a great attitude.
Regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

    2. Pole Building Foreman

    Duties

    Will be responsible for completing projects on time and on budget.  Also responsible for  training and supervising crew members, ensuring the correct materials are delivered, evaluating plans, communicating progress to client and office, and ensuring safety standards are met.

    Qualifications

    Successful candidates will have a solid construction background with supervisory experience.   Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance.  Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites (primarily Skagit & Snohomish County).  Foremen should have the physical ability be able to lift 75lbs and the manual dexterity to use hand and power tools correctly and safely.   Must be certified, or able to be become certified, in forklift operations.  Spane Buildings is a drug-free workplace.  Pre-employment drug testing required.

    3. General Carpenter

    Duties

    Assists the foreman in completing projects on time and on budget.  Performs tasks such as cutting, hammering, moving materials and tools, climbing ladders, digging, and overhead work.  Ensures self-compliance with safety standards.

    Location of Work

    Most of our jobsites are located in Skagit, Island, and Snohomish Counties with occasional work in outlying areas.  Hotel and per diem allowance provided if jobs are more than 2 hours away from our shop.

    Qualifications

    Construction background preferred.  Will train the right person if construction is your passion.  Must be willing to change gears quickly and often.  Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites.  Applicants should have the physical ability be able to lift 50-75lbs on occasion and the manual dexterity to use hand and power tools correctly and safely.  Must be willing and able to work in all types of weather.   Forklift certification/experience a plus.  Spane Buildings is a drug-free workplace.  Pre-employment drug testing required.
